Welcome ...

...to the home of the Four Rivers Pony Club

FRPC is a member of the United States Pony Club

and is part of USPC's Midsouth Region

Pony Club is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide a program for youth that teaches riding, mounted sports, and the care of horses and ponies, thereby developing responsibility, moral judgement, leadership, and self-confidence. The older, more experienced members serve as mentors for the less experienced members and scores of adult volunteers make it all possible.

Started in England in 1928, Pony Club is one of the leading junior equestrian organizations in the world, represented throughout 42 countries. The United States Pony Club was established in 1954 and has over 600 individual Clubs spread throughout 48 states and the Virgin Islands, with more than 12,000 members. Four Rivers Pony Club serves the Four Rivers region (near the Mississippi, Ohio, Tennessee, and Cumberland Rivers) of western Kentucky. We are part of the Midsouth Region which covers parts of KY, IL, TN, AL, IN, OH, and WV.

Pony Club offers both mounted and unmounted instruction in riding and horse management, as well as "fair and friendly" competitions (rallies) and activities in Eventing, Show Jumping, Dressage, Games, Polocrosse, Tetrathlon,Quiz (knowledge), Vaulting, and Fox Hunting. Rallies are held at the regional and national levels -- and there are even some opportunities at the international level! Whether you aspire to be an Olympic class rider or just want to learn the basics of riding and horse care, there's something for everybody -- and being a Pony Clubber is just plain fun!
